Huddersfield Town will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux this Sunday in a game that has interesting implications for the bottom half of the Premier League table. A defeat for the Terriers could take them to the foot of the table, while a win for Nuno Espirito Santos’s men will put them level on points with Everton.
Wolves vs Huddersfield: odds and predictions
The Wanderers are trading as 47/100 favourites in our Wolves vs Huddersfield predictions and betting tips, while the away side are priced as 15/2 outsiders and a share of the spoils of war tipped at 3/1.
The Terriers will have a tough task in keeping out a Wolves offence rife with attacking gems. Among Ruben Neves, Jao Moutinho, Adama Traore and Diego Jota, Santos has sculpted a side capable of melding defence into attack seamlessly.
Leading our goalscoring betting markets is Adama Traore, with the odds trading at 6/1. The 22-year-old has only a solitary goal to his name in this season’s campaign but has impressed with his pace and skill on the counter.
Meanwhile, the story could not get much bleaker for Huddersfield’s Steve Mounie, who has had more shots without scoring than any other Premier League player this season (21).
Despite the goalscoring drought for Mounie, the likes of Lauren Depoitre and Alex Pritchard also present themselves as genuine attacking threats and will need to step up if Mounie fails to deliver again.
The former man is priced at an 11/1 pick, with the latter punting at 12/1. Yet, given that David Wagner’s side have struggled on both sides of the pitch, our William Hill traders can only forecast a defeat for the away team.

Wolves vs Huddersfield predictions: score, best bet, scorer tips
Predicted score: Wolves to win, trading @ 47/100
After an impressive, unbeaten run in their opening six Premier League games, Wolves are winless in their last four (D1, L3).
The Wanderers are now presented with the perfect opportunity to slip back into winning ways against a team boasting one of the most woeful defensive records in the Premier League.
The first match betting tip in our Wolves vs Huddersfield predictions forecasts the Molineux outfit to emerge as victors and sweep aside Wagner’s men without breaking a sweat, with the odds set at an intrepid 47/100 pick.
Double result: Wolves/Wolves, forecast @ 5/4
Santos’s men have shown that they are fast-starters this season, but the second of our Wolves vs Huddersfield projections expect them to mirror their performances in the second half too.
The newly-promoted side have scored 17% of all their Premier League goals in the opening moments of their games, but have seldom gone on to do so after the break.
Yet against a Huddersfield defence lacking in leadership and communication, the high-press initiated by the Wolves fullbacks should allow for more goalscoring opportunities to be gifted to Santos’s men, and the short odds reflect that.
Scorer tips: Raul Jiminez to score first, projected @ 7/2
The 27-year-old may have only scored three goals this season, but he’s still our pick to score first and brings up the rear in our Wolves vs Huddersfield predictions.
Not only has Jiminez dazzled with his own skill and striking ability, but has also displayed the ability to link-up well with others to glean more goalscoring opportunities, chiefly through Matt Doherty.
Doherty has created 10 goalscoring chances for his fellow teammate this season, with only Gylfi Siggurdson creating more in Everton colours for Micheal Keane.
Nevertheless, we’re wagering that Jiminez won’t need any assistance in this Sunday’s clash, with the odds of him scoring first wagering at 7/2 in our match betting tips.
