Now, let’s take a closer look at some football betting angles for the upcoming UEFA Women’s European Championship fixtures:
Spain v Portugal – Thursday, 8pm
- Spain head into their curtain raiser as the clear favourites against Portugal on Thursday, mainly because the two sides met just three months ago with Spain winning that UEFA Nations League fixture 7-1.
- Portugal have conceded at least three goals in four of their last five games in all competitions, two of which came against Spain, i’m expecting more of the same in this one.
Pick of the game: Spain To Score Over 2.5 Goals
Germany v Poland – Friday, 8pm
- Germany face Poland in St Gallen on Friday evening and are the overwhelming favourites on the betting market. DFB-Frauenteam have scored at least four goals in each of their last five games in all outings, whilst they’ve won both meetings with Poland by at least two goals.
- Poland are actually unbeaten in their last eleven games across all competitions but haven’t really played the level of opponents that they’ll face here on Friday evening, this will be a tough opening game for Poland.
Pick of the game: Germany -2 Handicap
Wales v Netherlands – Saturday, 5pm
- This is the first major tournament for Wales Women so it’s no surprise they head to Switzerland as one of the biggest prices to win the tournament, they haven’t won any of their last six games in all competitions.
- These two sides haven’t met since 2017, a game in which the Netherlands won 5-0, The Oranje actually hold an aggregate score of 10-1 in their last four meetings with Wales, the Dutch will should get off to a winning start here.
Pick of the game: Netherlands to Win & Over 1.5 Goals
France v England – Saturday, 8pm
- There’s no doubt that this is game of the week in terms of the Women’s European Championship, with two of the tournament favourites battling it out for a perfect start in Group D. France have won each of their last eight games across all competitions, scoring at least two in seven of those.
- England head to Switzerland off the back of a 7-0 victory against Jamaica, it’s no surprise to say i’m expecting goals here given these are two of the favourites to go the whole way but it’s backed up by their head-to-head meetings, with each of the last four meetings seeing at least three goals and both teams on the scoresheet.
Pick of the game: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals
