Now, let’s take a closer look at some football betting angles for the Sunday’s UEFA Women’s European Championship final:

England v Spain – Sunday, 5pm

  • Sometimes in football you can start to believe that it’s just meant to be for a certain side in these major tournaments and that’s the impression that this England side are giving off after more late drama in their semi-final fixture against Italy.
  • Sarina Wiegman’s side once again left it late not just once but twice, with Michelle Agyemang scoring in the 96th minute to take the game to extra-time before Chloe Kelly followed up her penalty miss on the rebound in the 119th minute to send the Lionesses to a consecutive Euro’s final having won the competition back in 2022.
  • England will be looking for revenge here after losing out in the World Cup final against Spain in Sydney two years ago, the two sides have met twice since then with both nations picking up a victory each in 2025, this will be an intriguing encounter.
    ——————————–
  • Spain had to go through extra-time as well during their semi-final clash against record champions Germany on Wednesday evening, after a goalless draw within 90 minutes, the game looked set for another penalty shootout until Aitana Bonmati’s goal in the 113th minute, enough to send Spain into their first ever European final.
  • This is the one that’s missing for La Roja having already won the World Cup and the UEFA Nations League and having extended their unbeaten record to ten games now in all competitions, Montserrat Tome’s side will be confident of taking this one as well.
  • It’s a really good final this, there’s not much to separate the two sides in all honesty and despite England being the last side to beat Spain, i think the way they’ve played in this tournament will see the Lionesses come up short in a tight encounter.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Spain To Win, England 1-2 Spain
