| BY News Team

The nations contesting the 2018 World Cup semi-finals have been decided, so what better time to go in search of some of the best bets at the World Cup 2018 semi-final odds?

Nerves will be at breaking point for nations just one game away from reaching the most coveted match in world football – who will make it to the World Cup final in Moscow?

The semi-final matches will be played on Tuesday 10th July, and Wednesday 11th July. Get yourself in the mood. Take a look at some of our tips and predictions for each game.

World Cup semi-final best bets: Croatia vs England

The England vs Croatia odds currently see the Three Lions 8/13 favourites to qualify for their first final since 1966.

England have scored eight of their eleven goals so from set piece situations – more than any other team at the 2018 World Cup.

In what may well be a cagey, low scoring encounter, odds of 22/1 are available about centre backs John Stones or Harry Maguire to Score, and England To Win their World Cup semi-final 1-0, 2-0 Or 2-1.

If we expect Three Lions defenders to bag from set pieces, the assist betting has to come to in to play and full-back corner takers Kieran Trippier and Ashley Young (who set up Maguire against Sweden) look decent value in the to assist a goal odds  at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.

Following their victory against host nation Russia, Croatia became the first nation since Argentina in Italia ’90 to win two penalty shootouts in a single World Cup tournament.

If you fancy this match going beyond extra time, then odds on England winning penalty shootout are 8/1. Croatia are 8/1 to win on spot-kicks.

World Cup semi-final best bets: France vs Belgium

The France vs Belgium odds have Les Bleus as favourites to progress at 8/11, whereas the Red Devils are 11/10 to qualify for their first World Cup final.

With an array of attacking talent on both teams, we are tipping this to be a high scoring semi-final match between the sides shortest in the betting to win the tournament. Odds on both teams to score in the first half have been enhanced from 4/1 to 5/1.

Kylian Mbappe has scored three World Cup 2018 goals so far, with one against Peru and a brace against Argentina.

The forward will be looking to attack the left flank in the absence of Belgium’s suspended first choice right back Thomas Meunier. If you fancy Mbappe to bag another brace in the semi-final, then the odds are 10/1.

Belgium captain Eden Hazard scored in the last match between the two teams (a 4-3 away win for Belgium) in 2015. We are tipping Eden Hazard to score, Belgium to win, with both teams to score at odds of 10/1.

In the same game, Marouane Fellaini struck twice and after scoring Belgium’s equaliser from the bench against Japan and playing fantastically against Belgium, he could pose Les Bleus an unsolvable problem again.

Not expected to start against the French, Fellaini to score last odds of 12/1 look appealing with your money returned if he doesn’t get on to the pitch.
