We have delved into the latest football odds to deliver picks for three of Tuesday’s matches:
Korea Republic vs Kuwait, Tuesday 12pm
- Korea have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup after going unbeaten across the first nine games of the qualifying campaign.
- Kuwait are winless with only five points on the board. The Blue Wave haven’t qualified for a major football competition since 2015 and have only appeared in one World Cup (1982).
- Two goals inside the first 20 minutes set the Korea Republic up for a 3-1 win when these sides met in Kuwait City in November.
- Korea have won the last four matchups. Kuwait’s goal when the sides played the reverse fixture at the end of last year was the only time they’ve scored against Korea since a 1-1 draw in 2011.
- Every member of the Kuwait squad plays in the Kuwait Premier League. Korea have a core of players in Europe’s top five leagues, including Tottenham’s Heung-min Son and PSG’s Lee Kang-in.
Prediction: South Korea -2.5 (11/10). South Korea 3-0 Kuwait.
Finland vs Poland, Tuesday 7:45pm
- Finland and Poland are the top two teams in Group G heading into Sunday’s match in Helsinki.
- Finland have four points from three matches after a 2-0 loss to the Netherlands at the weekend. The Oranje are hosting Malta on Sunday and will likely overtake Finland unless the Scandinavians record a victory.
- Poland beat Malta and Lithuania to nil to claim six points from their first two matches. A total of three goals across the two matches doesn’t inspire a huge amount of confident, but having points on the board is key after two of their easier fixtures.
- The White-Reds continued their streak of clean sheets with a 2-0 friendly win over Moldova a few days ago.
- A dispute with head coach Michał Probierz has led to Robert Lewandowski refusing to play for Poland for the foreseeable future.
- Finland lost all of their Nations League matches. Poland only won one out of six of their Nations League fixtures.
- Lewandowski’s absence gives Finland a chance of getting a result.
Prediction: Finland win or draw (Evens). Finland 1-1 Poland.
Bolivia vs Chile, Tuesday 9pm
- Chile cannot qualify for the World Cup directly. An inter-confederation playoff spot is their only chance of reaching next summer’s tournament.
- With 10 points on the board from 15 matches, Chile are eight points off seventh and need a minor miracle to avoid elimination at this stage.
- Bolivia are on 14 points, leaving them four behind seventh-placed Venezuela. A 2-0 loss to Venezuela last time out was a major blow to Bolivia’s qualification hopes.
- Chile lost 1-0 to Argentina on matchday 15. They have won just two of their 15 matches and have only scored nine goals.
- Bolivia have not won any of their last six fixtures. They have failed to score in four of those matches.
- The hosts haven’t lost a home football match since a defeat to Ecuador in October 2023.
- Chile’s last win away from home was a 3-2 win over Bolivia in February 2022.
Prediction: Bolivia to win to nil (13/8). Bolivia 1-0 Chile.
