Constellation Furyk & Friends Predictions: Back Goosen At 10/3

| BY Sam Cox

For the first time, Jim Furyk won’t be taking part in the event with club in hand. A dodgy back restricts the 2003 US Open champion to hosting duties, but it’s still a star-studded field, featuring Ernie Els, Colin Montgomerie, Retief Goosen, and Vijay Singh.

Best Bets

  • Refief Goosen Top 5 Finish (10/3)
  • Robert Karlsson Top 10 Finish (9/2)

Goosen has consistently been in the mix. If his most recent outing was an outlier, we can feel pretty comfortable assuming he returns to the top five. Goosen had three consecutive top five finishes prior to a disappointing showing last time out.

Robert Karlsson is a player worth backing as a longshot. He’s been in the top 10 in his last two events after a difficult first eight months of the year. We feel comfortable taking a player in this kind of form.

Form Golfers

Kiwi Steven Alker won the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic last week, so it’s no surprise he’s got the second-shortest odds for Constellation Furyk & Friends. Alker is tied with Stewart Cink at 9/2, who finished tied for fourth last time out.

Cink, Johnson, and Alker make up the top three in the 2026 money list. Karlsson, fresh off tying with Cink for fourth at Lehigh Valley, is all the way out at 80/1, despite posting consecutive top 10 finishes.

Goosen had been playing well prior to finishing -1 at Lehigh Valley. The South African was fifth at the Rogers Charity Classic, second at the Ally Challenge, and tied for third at the Sanford International.

Michael Block has also had some strong recent showings. Final round woes derailed his charge at the Ally Challenge, but the 50-year-old was fifth at the Rogers Charity Classic and third last week.

The Course

Swapping Timuquana Country Club for Hammock Beach means a bit of a step into the unknown for the PGA Tour Champions field.

It was only briefly used on PGA Tour Champions, the PGA Tour, and the LPGA Tour in the 2000s. Bernhard Langer, who is 80/1 to win this time around, won the last PGA Tour Champions event on this course.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the Ocean Course has four holes that run right along the Atlantic Ocean. The final four holes represent a challenging closing stretch.
