Bookies fear Fitzpatrick duo at USPGA Championship
Matt (20/1) and Alex Fitzpatrick (90/1) join Cameron Young (11/1) at top of William Hill’s liabilities list ahead of Aronimink…
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The Fitzpatrick brothers are once again shaping up to be our biggest concern ahead of the USPGA Championship, with plenty of support also behind Cameron Young (11/1) and Tommy Fleetwood (22/1), and it’s Fleetwood who has generated the highest number of individual bets in our book.
“From our side, LIV’s Jon Rahm (14/1) would be one of the best results among the leading names in the market, but with the volume of customers who have piled into the Fitzpatricks – particularly Alex at 90/1 – we’ll be watching the British contingent especially closely at Aronimink this week.
“Matt has been a thorn in our side in terms of payouts recently, following statement wins at the RBC Heritage, Valspar Championship, and most recently in New Orleans alongside his brother. Adding the season’s second major to his trophy cabinet would certainly make yet another dent in our book!”
