Phoenix Open Predictions & Betting Tips (2026)

Many high-profile players with notable world rankings are competing in the 2026 WM Phoenix Open this week at TPC Scottsdale.

The 91st edition of “The People’s Open” features eleven of the Top-20 players in the current Official World Golf Rankings, 12 Major Championship winners, and seven previous Phoenix Open champions. That’s some golfing line up!

My five against the field are as follows:

Si Woo Kim (20/1)

Kim is in the iron form of his life right now and if any golfer is going to take down Scottie Scheffler this week, then it’s the South Korean.

He was tied for second at the Farmers last week after a superb start to 2026 which also includes 6th place at the American Express and 11th at the Sony Open.

His previous best in this tournament was 12th, but interestingly he’s bever missed the cut here since 2020 which is a major plus, given the harsh environment in Arizona that doesn’t suit everyone.

Maverick McNealy (33/1)

McNealy gave us a good run for our money last week and managed a top-10 finish, which was an excellent result for those of you that play those kind of markets.

McNealy has finished inside the top ten in both of his career starts at the WM Phoenix Open and clearly enjoys TPC Scottsdale. I personally can see him making a fast start, perhaps even being the first round leader. Naturally, the key thereafter is to stay up there at the top.

Sahith Theegala (45/1)

Theegala has previously had two top-5 finishes in this event and comes into the Phoenix Open playing some good golf.

Last week at Torrey Pines, Theegala shot an opening-round 66 and he equalled that in the final round. If the pack can keep tabs on Scheffler this week, then it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Californian in the mix come Sunday.

Pierceson Coody (55/1)

Only three players have finished inside the top 20 in each of the first three events of the 2026 season – Pierceson Coody, Ryan Gerard, and Si Woo Kim. With Gerrard taking a break this week, I will suggest that we also add Coody to our each-way roster this week.

The former world No.1 amateur was a distant joint-runner-up to Justin Rose last week, but his -16 score around Torrey Pines would actually have been enough to win the last six renewals of the Farmers, so his effort should be greatly applauded.

Ryo Hisatsune (125/1)

If Kim and Coody have made my five to follow this week, then the 23-year-old Japanese player Ryo Hisatsunehas got to be on that list too.

Buoyed by his own excellent finish in the Farmers last Sunday, Hisatsune can hopefully show us more of what we saw from him in 2023 when he became the Rookie of the Year on the European circuit.
