Masters 2026 Day 4 Tips: All To Play For On Championship Sunday
William Hill News preview the final day of the 2026 Masters event at Augusta National, with the Green Jacket up for grabs after a dramatic Saturday.
Just when Rory McIlroy looked to be set for a less turbulent Masters weekend, the reigning champion shot 73 on Saturday and saw his record-setting lead disappear. Cameron Young joined McIlroy on -11 heading into the final round, with Sam Burns just one shot behind.
Championship Sunday Prediction:
- Justin Rose to finish in the top 5 – 23/20
- Patrick Cantlay to finish in the top 10 – 13/10
- Scottie Scheffler to win the Masters – 10/1
- Jacob Bridgeman to finish in the top 20 – 2/1
McIlroy is notably still the golf betting favourite, but it’s all to play for heading into Sunday. Shane Lowry is two shots back. Jason Day and Justin Rose – primed for another Augusta heartbreak, perhaps – is -8.
Errant tee shots from McIlroy in rounds 1 and 2 were followed by remarkable recoveries. On Saturday, the grand slam winner wasn’t as effective. He has hit the fewest fairways of any 54-hole leader in Masters history.
The Masters 2026 Outright Winner Odds:
- Rory McIlroy – 6/4
- Cameron Young – 9/4
- Sam Burns – 13/2
- Scottie Scheffler – 10/1
- Justin Rose – 12/1
- Shane Lowry – 12/1
- Jason Day – 22/1
- Bar – 60/1
If McIlroy is to become the fourth golfer to win back-to-back Masters, his approach play must return to its superb Thursday and Friday standard and/or he needs to fix his play off the tee.
Experience is on McIlroy’s side. Young has never been in this position at any major. McIlroy was liberated in the first two rounds, playing with the freedom of someone that has achieved his ultimate goal. The question, though, is whether that crippling Augusta Sunday pressure rears its head after his challenging third round.
It’s not all down to Young and McIlroy, though it’s worth noting that Young could continue a trend of Players Championship winners backing that up with Masters success.
Other Contenders
Scottie Scheffler is very much in the mix at -7 after a brilliant 65 on Saturday. Rose shot a bogey-free round to keep his Masters dreams alive in what would be the ultimate fairy tale.
Patrick Cantlay has shot consecutive bogey-free rounds and sits 13/10 for a top 10 finish and 11/2 to land in the top five. Joining Cantlay on -6, Russell Henley is only five shots off the lead. Like Cantlay, Henley shot 66 on Saturday.
Masters Championship Sunday Predictions
Jacob Bridgeman, one of the PGA Tour leaders in strokes gained in 2026, is only two shots off the top 20. A 2/1 price on a top 20 finish represents value, despite a lack of Masters experience.
The 13/10 price on a top 10 finish from Cantlay is worth consideration. While the American struggled in the majors last year, he’s had five top 10 finishes at grand slams, including a tied-ninth in 2019. His Saturday performance was very encouraging.
Now Scheffler’s odds have lengthened, and after a brilliant third round, the world number one is a player to back at 10/1 to win outright. It took a while for Scheffler to get to a price where he’s appealing, but he’s very much within striking distance at four shots back and can heap the pressure on McIlroy and Young with some early birdies.
The consistency of Rose, paired with his history of strong final rounds at Augusta, means the 23/20 on a top five finish is great value. The floor is very high with the veteran Brit – he’s going to be there or thereabouts tonight.
