Tiger Woods odds-on for Ryder Cup captaincy
Woods 1/2 to lead Team USA at Adare Manor; 2/1 to feature at 2026 Masters
Tiger Woods is odds-on at 1/2 with William Hill to be named as Team USA’s Ryder Cup captain for 2027 in Ireland.
The legendary golfer is rumoured to have been considering the role for the upcoming Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, and the betting suggests Woods is nearing a decision and is more likely than not to captain his side away from home.
In the more immediate future, Woods remains 2/1 to play at Augusta National in just under two months’ time, despite having not played in a major tournament since 2024.
To be the 2027 US Ryder Cup Captain:
Tiger Woods – 1/2
Jim Furyk – 5/1
Brandt Snedeker – 6/1
Steve Stricker – 6/1
Webb Simpson – 6/1
Keegan Bradley – 7/1
The Masters – Tiger Woods Specials:
Tiger Woods to play at the 2026 Masters – 2/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With the captaincy selection approaching for Team USA, Tiger Woods is odds-on (1/2) to lead his country at Adare Manor.
“The 15-time major champion has been fancied to take on the USA captaincy role for many years, and 2027 could finally be the time Woods takes the reins.
“A course that Woods has conquered many times is Augusta National. We go 2/1 that the five-time Green Jacket winner tees it up once again at the Masters this year, following his 2025 absence.”
