Greyhound Derby Final: Market Movers Ahead Of Saturday’s Race

A look ahead to Saturday’s Greyhound Derby Final, with outsider Droopys Plunge attracting significant support in the betting for the race.
According to the latest sports betting odds at William Hill, Droopys Plunge has been slashed to 12/1 (from 25/1) since the draw for this weekend’s race was made.
Bockos Diamond has been the long-touted Greyhound Derby favourite in the market for some time and William Hill have reported strong support for him and he may potentially go off much shorter than his current price.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The 2025 Greyhound Derby Final is just days away and our customers are getting stuck into some of bigger-priced dogs in the market. Droopys Plunge has done just as his name suggests with his price tumbling from 25/1 to 12/1 since the draw was made.
“Despite not looking at his best in the quarter-finals, Bockos Diamond bounced back in the semis and is by far the worse result in the ante-post book and has continued to be popular in the outright market.
“On the night, given that he’s got his draw in trap six, we expect last year’s Irish Derby winner to be really strong and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he could go off as short as 8/13.”
