How Much Is A Pint Of Guinness At The 2026 Cheltenham Festival
For many, a day at the races just wouldn’t be the same without a pint of Guinness to hand. At the Cheltenham course bars, the staff are primed and ready to meet the demand for hundreds of thousands of pints of the ‘Black Stuff.’
After a spot of backlash following the pricing at Cheltenham in 2023, 2024, and 2025, those with a ticket and an eye on the race day betting are rightly wondering about the price of Guinness sold at the festival in 2026.
What Does a Pint of Guinness Cost at Cheltenham in 2026?
The Cheltenham course bars will sell you a pint of Guinness for £7.50 in 2026. This price marks a £0.30 reduction on the 2025, 2024, and 2023 festival prices, or a 2.25% markdown for race goers.
That means that every 26 pints of Guinness sold at the festival will return to same amount as 25 pints did in the last three instalments.
So, what else will the Cheltenham course bars be serving and how do those prices compare to Guinness?
How Much is a Drink at the 2026 Cheltenham Festival?
Importantly, the £7.50 price is for all pints of Guinness sold at the festival as well as the other beers and ciders every day. So, at the 2026 Cheltenham Festival, you can expect to pay £7.50 for Guinness, Pravha, or Aspall Cyder.
Zero percent alcohol Guinness, or Guinness 0.0, is another £0.30 cheaper than its boozy counterpart at £7.20, while a can of Doom Bar is the priciest pick at £7.80. Alcohol-free lager costs £4.10 each.
In the category of spirits, you’ll find Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Smirnoff, Gordon’s Gin, and Gordon’s Pink Gin cost £7.00 per measure, while Jameson Whiskey is up at £7.30.
The wine and champagne menu has expanded with the addition of Canal Grando Prosecco Extra Dry for 2026, which costs £46 per bottle. Glasses of house white, red, and rosé wine cost £10 each.
Top of the menu, of course, is the champagne. A bottle of house bubbles costs £85. Then, at the other end of the scale, you’ve got £3 soft drinks, £2.90 mixers, £2.60 for water, and £0.50 if you want a dash of cordial.
Of course, Guinness is famously the pick of the bunch for attendees. So, while fans are taking up the Cheltenham odds and watching the races, just how much Guinness will be drunk at the 2026 Cheltenham Festival?
How Much Guinness is Sold at the Festival?
In between backing forecasts or using the specialist horse racing bet builder, there was roughly 265,000 pints of Guinness sold at the festival in 2025, which equates to 33,125 gallons or close to 150,600 litres.
At £7.80, that fetched the Cheltenham course bars a cool £2.067 million over the four days. Guinness increased in popularity greatly between 2024 and 2025, with some 45,000 extra pints reportedly sold last year.
To cover the on paper loss of the £0.30 Guinness pint reduction, Cheltenham will hope to sell at least 10,600 more pints or over 275,600. Of course, other pints being the same price as Guinness will help to fill the void.
