Willie Mullins is a household name in the sporting world, with many labelling him as the greatest trainer in the history of National Hunt racing.

He is the most successful trainer of all-time when it comes to the Cheltenham Festival, amassing an incredible 103 wins at March’s showpiece jumps meeting.

A former jockey, W P Mullins even managed to defy horse racing odds and record a Cheltenham Festival victory in the saddle – riding Wither Or Which to victory in the 1996 Champion Bumper.

He has been crowned Irish Champion jumps trainer in each of the previous 16 seasons while he become the first Irish trainer to win the British title in 70 years when clinching the award in 2024.

Willie Mullins often has Cheltenham betting favourites and his record in recent times is second to none, winning the meeting’s leading trainer title for the 10th occasion. It’d take a brave man to back against the Closutton master making it 11 next month.

He has been the dominant force in the Champion Bumper, training the winner of Wednesday’s finale a record 13 times. The Closutton handler has a strong set of entries in this year’s race and punters may expect a 14th success in the race for the yard.
