Horse Racing Tips From Ffos Las, Huntingdon & Auteuil
In what is always a quiet time on the domestic horse racing front before the Cheltenham Festival, UK and Irish punters can expect to see jumping action from Huntingdon, Ffos Las and Auteuil, France, on their TV screens on Sunday, with the premier French track hosting a Grade 3 contest.

Our racing expert Steve Mullington runs you through our Sunday horse racing betting markets, and suggests five selections to follow on the day:
2.00 Ffos Las – 3m Novices’ Handicap Chase
On the back of a wet few days, it would be prudent to side with a Nigel Twiston-Davies runner in testing conditions at a notoriously tough racecourse. Hence, I am selecting the eight-year-old WONDER OF THE SEAS to take the spoils in this three-mile test for novices.
Doyen geldings tend to be laden with stamina, and Wonder Of The Seas really seemed to enjoy his spin around Leicester for a long way before something seemed to go amiss and he was pulled up.
I envisage the team will have got to the bottom of that issue and with the rest of the field being no great shakes, it makes him an interesting horse to punt on.
2.45 Huntingdon – 2m4f Handicap Chase
After his heroics in both the Grand Sefton and the Becher Chase at Aintree, the Dylan Cunha-trained MAHON’S GLORY can figure prominently in this open looking handicap chase.
Swerving yesterday’s 3.45pm at Newbury in preference to this engagement, Cunha’s ten-year-old has had a decent break since his last outing at Market Rasen, and I suspect he will dominate from the front, on this flat oval track, which will suit his running style right down to a tee.
2.50 Auteuil – 2m2f Hurdle (Grade 3)
The Prix d’Indy tends to attract some of the best up and coming hurdlers in France, and Sunday’s feature race can go the way of the Mickael Seror-trained GOOD GIRL DE FAUST who will be ridden by newly-engaged-to-be-married Bryony Frost.
Frost is in very good form at present, riding several winners over the past fortnight, and her confidence is high. Her mount was a winner of a Grade 3 here in September and a return to this level will be a positive for this daughter of Goliath Du Berlais.
3.15 Huntingdon – 3m Handicap Chase
He may well be an 11-y-o now, but FELTON BELLVUE is still running as well as ever and can follow up his victory at Plumpton three weeks ago, with another at Huntingdon.
A five-time chase winner already, the veteran gelding looked sharp over this distance last time and can come with his customary late charge again today. He’s a confident each-way play in our sports betting market.
4.30 Ffos Las – 2m Handicap Hurdle
The Grace Harris-trained INION TIOGAIR (NAP) is a consistent sort at this level and got her just rewards at Chepstow last time when demolishing the field in a Class 5 at Chepstow.
This contest is a Class 4 affair, but the Westerner-mare won with so much in hand last time that this slight step up in class shouldn’t make one jot of difference.
She will completely relish the ground and can exploit her extremely low weight under jockey Joe Anderson (claiming 3lb).
