Glorious Goodwood Tips 2026: Wednesday’s Best Bets At The Qatar Goodwood Festival

All eyes on Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday for the second day of the 2026 Qatar Goodwood Festival, with William Hill News previewing each race taking place at the track.

13:50 – 1m4f Handicap

The Harry Eustace-trained BAY ROYALE showed plenty of scope at Nottingham in the early part of this season and can go well in his first handicap.

The New Bay-colt is bred for speed and gets into the race off a favourable mark of 89.

14:25 – 5f Alice Keppel Fillies’ Conditions Stakes

DIVINE WHISPER showed a good turn of foot when victorious at Windsor a month ago and can build upon that success.

The Mehmas-filly was unlucky not to bring home the spoils on her debut at York on 12 June, so she is clearly a horse who knows her job.

15:00 – 7f Oak Tree Stakes (Group 3)

Ralph Beckett’s PLANET SEEKER won here over six furlongs on her racecourse debut last August, so has to be of interest on her return to the venue.

Owned by Jeff Smith, the filly won with plenty in hand at Newmarket last time, with seven furlongs looking like her perfect trip.

Priced up in our antepost betting at 14/1 earlier in the week, she’s now quoted at 8/1 to beat her contemporaries in this Group 3.

15:35 – 5f Molecomb Stakes (Group 3)

ADONIOUS (NAP) bids to keep his perfect record intact when he lines up in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood on Wednesday.

Trainer Rebecca Menzies believes victory could put the colt firmly on course for the Breeders’ Cup later this year, and I am inclined to agree with her.

The youngster looked more than useful in the Lily Agnes at Chester and a big run is expected at Goodwood.

16:10 – 1m Sussex Stakes (Group 1)

BOW ECHO (NB) maintained his unbeaten record at Royal Ascot and can become the first horse since Frankel to win the 2000 Guineas, St James’s Palace Stakes and Sussex Stakes.

The brilliant son of Night Of Thunder is attempting to extend his perfect record to six consecutive wins, and with a £1.5 million purse at stake, no stone will have been left unturned with his preparation for this feature race.

17:00 – 6f Handicap

Kingman-gelding SUPREME KING may only be six-years-old but he has plenty of experience under his saddle already and can be in the thick of it here.

A seven-time career winner from 58 starts, Oisin Murphy is sure to get another good tune out of him and he’s a solid each-way play in our sports betting market.

17:40 – 7f World Pool Handicap

The Kubler’s will be hopeful they can take home the silverware in the lucky last with their five-year-old CRIMSON SPIRIT.

A course and distance winner, is sired by the 2017 Sprint Cup victor Harry Angel and possesses a decent engine at the end of his races. The booking of Ryan Moore is a massive bonus too.
