Aintree Lucky 15 Tips For Day 3 At The Grand National Meeting

Our writer casts his eye over the action at Aintree on Day 3 of the Grand National meeting, with a Lucky 15 across Saturday afternoon.
A Lucky 15 bet involves 15 bets across four different selections. Your bets are: 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator.
Here is our suggested Lucky 15 bet for Aintree today:
SELECTION 1 – ACT OF AUTHORITY (1.20pm William Hill Handicap Hurdle)
Seven pound claimer Lewis Saunders has been Olly Murphy’s go to man this season when he’s wanted to take a few pounds off one of his runners, and Saunders has been booked to ride ACT OF AUTHORITY today.
Murphy has had yet another fruitful season with his Diana Whateley-owned runners, and Act Of Authority was last seen running a screamer in the Martin Pipe at the Festival. The seven-year-old is an each-way play all day long in our horse racing betting.
SELECTION 2 – FINGLE BRIDGE (1.55pm Mersey Novices’ Hurdle)
Olly Murphy’s FINGLE BRIDGE has gone from strength to strength this season, and after landing the spoils in a 2m½f Listed affair at Exeter last time, it’s only logical that he is stepping up to a Grade 1 and 2m4f at Aintree.
Murphy deliberately swerved going to the Cheltenham Festival with his seven-year-old as the horse isn’t particularly fond of an undulating track. A flat Aintree with early spring ground looks just the ticket for him.
Owners -the McNeill family are no strangers to a winner or two on Merseyside and the current top jockey in the UK will ride their horse, which all bodes well for his chances.
SELECTION 3 – IROKO (4.00pm Grand National Handicap Steeplechase)
The Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero-trained IROKO has been quietly campaigned this term and will be finely tuned for this, his target race.
Iroko finished second to Inothewayurthinkin at Aintree in the Grade 1 Mildmay Novices’ Chase at the Grand National Festival last year and has followed that up this season with a second at Haydock Park and a fourth on Cheltenham’s Festival Trials Day, either side of a fall at Ascot in December. He was then second in Kelso’s Premier Chase, but wasn’t given too hard of a race when it was obvious he wasn’t going to reel Grey Dawning in.
Owned by JP McManus, this horse has very much been his National hope all season.
Selection 4 – MOSSY FEN ROAD (5.35pm Weatherbys Standard Open NH Flat Race)
MOSSY FEN ROAD can take the concluding National Hunt Bumper for the Harry Derham stable.
From the penultimate crop of the top sire Flemensfirth, the five-year-old gelding is a half-brother to Fury Road who was successful in the Grade 1 Neville Hotels Novice Chase at the Leopardstown for Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown.
A comprehensive scorer at Wetherby, he can progress once more in this Grade 2 affair.
SUGGESTED E/W LUCKY 15:
1.20 Aintree – Act Of Authority
1.55 Aintree – Fingle Bridge
4.00 Aintree – Iroko
5.35 Aintree – Mossy Fen Road
