Haydock Sprint Cup Prize Money Breakdown (2025)

Returning from Thursday 4 – Saturday 6 September is Haydock Park’s Sprint Cup three day race meeting.  

Day Three includes the Group 1 Sprint Cup, a speed test over of six furlongs that attracts some of the best sprinters in Europe. With £400,000 of prize money on offer, the competition will be very strong.

• 1st = £226,840
• 2nd = £86,000
• 3rd = £43,040
• 4th = £21,440
• 5th = £10,760
• 6th = £5,400

Entry Fees And Declarations

• Enter by noon, July 8th and pay £2300 stake.
• Scratch by noon on August 19th or pay £2600.
• Confirm by noon on September 1st and pay £1640.
• Supplementary entries by noon, September 1st and pay £20,000 stake.
• Declare by 10.00 a.m. September 4th

Weights

• 3-y-o colts and geldings = 9st 3lb; fillies = 9st.
• 4-y-o and up colts and geldings = 9st 5lb; fillies = 9st 2lb.

Sponsorship

Flutter Entertainment have sponsored this race. Mementos will be presented to the winning owner, trainer, jockey and a prize of £100 will be presented to the stable employee responsible for the best turned out horse.

A Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be presented to the winning owner at the racecourse, to be held until August 1st, 2026.

All number cloths to be carried in this race have been sponsored and will carry the sponsor’s logo.

The sponsorship payment of £500 will be distributed equally amongst all horses starting in this race in accordance with paragraphs 24 to 27 of the Stakes and Prize Money Code.

Maximum Field

This race will be restricted to 17 runners plus two reserves. The two reserves will be nominated as R18 and R19.

“The early money from punters has come for two lively outsiders: Flora Of Bermuda, fifth in this race last season, at 16-1, and Rosy Affair, who opened her account for the season earlier this week at Pontefract, at 50-1.”
