Nick Luck’s William Hill blog: Ziggy’s a Dream of a Chester bet
ZIGGY’S DREAM is taken to win the Lily Agnes, the traditional curtain raiser to Chester’s May Festival (1.30pm) at 2/1. The form of her Donny has only had one test, in which third came out and ran a decent second, but it was more the manner of her victory on softish ground that impressed. She’s well drawn here and makes some appeal.
SEANTRABH looks the answer at 4/1 to a tricky sprint up next (2.05pm). He looked all over a minimum trip specialist when showing loads of toe to win on soft ground at Catterick, and his comeback run showed plenty of promise. The draw has been kind, too, and he looks all set for a big performance.
ARREST should be mighty hard to beat at 4/6 in the Vase (3.15pm). Every piece of his form stacks up – from his debut effort behind Nostrum to his defeat of a useful subsequent dual winner to his second to Guineas fifth Dubai Mile. He appears his trainer’s leading Derby hope and ought to win this en route.
ROYAL DRESS (2/1) wins no prizes for originality in the six furlong handicap (3.45pm), but was quite impressive in breaking the maiden at Doncaster last time, and might just have been let in a bit lightly. The draw and conditions look fine, and the jockey looks okay too.
