ITV Racing Tips: Best Bets From Goodwood, Haydock, York and the Curragh on Super Saturday

A focus on the televised ITV races, with William Hill News tipster Steve Mullington bringing you his thoughts on every race broadcast on the channel this Saturday.

The ITV cameras are spread far and wide on Saturday afternoon, bringing viewers a total of ten live horse racing betting heats from the likes of Goodwood, Haydock, York and the Curragh.

ITV Racing Tips Saturday:

  • 1.25pm Goodwood – Reciprocated
  • 1.45pm Haydock – Consecrated
  • 2.00pm Goodwood – Saxon Street (NAP)
  • 2.20pm Haydock – Laureate Crown
  • 2.40pm York – Vintage Clarets
  • 2.58pm Haydock – Coppull (NB)
  • 3.15pm York – Danielle
  • 3.30pm Haydock – Argentine Tango
  • 3.40pm Curragh – Gstaad
  • 4.05pm Haydock – Humble Spark

Our horse racing expert Steven Mullington brings us a pick in EVERY single race covered by ITV Racing:

1.25 Goodwood – 7f Handicap

Trained by Karl Burke, RECIPROCATED is looking to build upon a solid third-place finish last time out.

Pontefract is a good learning experience for any horse and the form usually holds up elsewhere.

1.45 Haydock – 1m2½f Hedge Of Oak Stakes (Listed Race)

Frankel-filly CONSECRATED ran a decent race here last September and appears to be a tad overpriced in our betting market for this Listed Affair.

At odds of around 16/1, she should give an good each-way account of herself.

2.00 Goodwood – 1m3f Cocked Hat Stakes (Listed Race)

The John & Thady Gosden-trained SAXON STREET (NAP) bids to secure a crucial classic rehearsal here before a potential tilt at the Epsom Derby.

Currently unbeaten in two career starts, he handles unique, tricky tracks exceptionally well, which bodes well for Goodwood.

2.20 Haydock – 1m Handicap

Hugo Palmer’s LAUREATE CROWN made a winning seasonal reappearance at Wolverhampton before landing a valuable Class 2 Handicap at Sandown on 24 April 2026 under Oisin Murphy. The youngster is a major player once again today.

2.40 York – 5f Handicap

Course and distance winner VINTAGE CLARETS has slipped to a winning mark and an each-way case can be made for him back on the Knavesmire. Ethan Tindall takes off a valuable 5lbs.

2.58 Haydock – 6f Sandy Lane Stakes (Group 2)

COPPULL (NB) is one of the standout names for this weekend’s feature sprinting trial.

Victorious in the Richmond Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and a decent third in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes, Clive Cox’s charge is going to take all the beating at Haydock.

3.15 York – 1m6f Bronte Cup Fillies’ Stakes (Group 3)

DANIELLE, a five-year-old mare by Cracksman, sits well clear of her opponents with a official rating of 114. She has a very strong record when fresh and the 1m6f distance is well within her scope.

She holds an early entry for the Ascot Gold Cup too.

3.30 Haydock – 5f Temple Stakes (Group 2)

Tim Easterby’s ARGENTINE TANGO can outrun her odds in this Haydock Group 2 on Saturday.

After running a respectable fourth at Chantilly in the Group 3 Prix Sigy, the game filly ran well again in a Listed affair at Goodwood. At odds of 50/1, she’s certainly of each-way interest.

3.40 Curragh – 1m Irish 2,000 Guineas (Group 1)

GSTAAD (by Starspangledbanner) boasts an exceptional profile for a thoroughbred having never finished outside the top two in his career. The odds-on favourite will win like a shorty should.

4.05 Haydock – 2m Handicap

Jim Goldie’s string has been in very good form this week with winners and placers all around the country. His ultra consistent runner HUMBLE SPARK can put up another bold show over this marathon trip.
