ITV Racing Tips & Predictions – Saturday 6th December 2025

Race horse and jockey jumping a hurdle on the race track

ITV will have live racing on both Saturday and Sunday this week with 13 live races being shown across the weekend.

Saturday is Tingle Creek Chase Day at Sandown and there will be four races covered live on ITV. The feature race is the Tingle Creek Chase itself, a Grade 1 over 2m worth £175k.

The William Hill Becher Handicap Chase is Aintree’s big race this weekend, with a field of 13 runners tackling the unique Grand National fences.

1.20pm Sandown – 2m7½f Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)

Last seen running fourth in the 2023 Pertemps Final, Venetia Williams has finally managed to get GREEN BOOK back on a racecourse.

Williams is very astute at getting horses ready after a long layoff, and it would come as no surprise to see the former Chester Plate scorer run a big each-way race today.

1.50pm Sandown – 2m Henry VIII Novices’ Chase (Grade 1) (4yo+)

LULAMBA has come out of his debut over fences in rude health and can follow up again.

The four-year-old, a top-class hurdler who was second in the Triumph last season, tackled larger obstacles for the first time at Exeter earlier in the month, registering a 10-length success. He will be a very popular pick in our sports betting.

2.05pm Aintree – 2m1f William Hill Wirral Juvenile Hurdle (3yo)

Paul Nicholls’ TREASURE PLANET was a runaway winner of a Ludlow juvenile hurdle last time out and can dominate proceedings here.

Freddie Gingell will be well up for repeating his Hitman heroics back at Aintree I’m sure.

2.25pm Sandown – 2m Handicap Hurdle (3yo+ 0-150)

Course and distance winner GO DANTE ran a little flat at Bangor on his seasonal bow, but was probably in need of the run.

The Imperial Cup victor can bounce right back and is a live each-way player in this field.

2.40pm Aintree – 3m2f William Hill Becher Handicap Chase (6yo+)

The trends for this race all appear to favour GABORIOT (NAP), and the nine year-old looks decent each-way value.

He is up just 1lb from his recent second in the Grand Sefton, and receives weight from the entire field.

3.00pm Sandown – 2m Tingle Creek Chase (Grade 1) (4yo+)

IL ETAIT TEMPS is the odds-on favourite in our horse racing betting to repeat his Celebration Chase fireworks. Given his course and distance form, Willie Mullins has targeted a return to Sandown for the seven-year-old since he impressed at Clonmel last month. The Jukebox Jury-gelding should take all the beating.

3.15pm Aintree – 2m4f William Hill Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)

The George Barlow-owned BEAR MARKET was successful here at the May meeting and won over today’s distance at Southwell three weeks ago.

The six-year-old is clearly in good heart and can be backed with a fair degree of confidence.

3.35pm Sandown – 3m4½f London National Handicap Chase (5yo+ 0-150)

Course and distance winner O’CONNELL was finishing like the proverbial steam train at Carlisle, and will hopefully have blown away his cobwebs in the process.

The nine-year-old is the typical big stamp chaser that the yard are renowned for producing, and he will be in his element once more over this three mile trip.
