Kevin Stott’s William Hill blog: Four good chances at Catterick

Catterick, Wednesday
I’ve got a pretty handy book of rides on Wednesday at Catterick starting with Castan in the nursery (2.19pm). He has been very consistent over five furlongs and since going handicapping. The pace is drawn next to us which means we should be able to get a nice lead into the race.
I’m looking forward to riding Waiting All Night in the novice stakes (2.54pm). He’s much superior on the ratings and drops back to a novice for the first time since his debut win. He has been running well at Group and Listed level and ran a good race in the Weatherby’s sales race at Doncaster last time, a race that has worked out well. He should take all the beating.
Oh So Chic goes in the two-mile handicap (4.04pm). She has progressed well since joining Ed Bethell, winning her penultimate start nicely at Carlisle. We bumped into a very well-handicapped horse at Redcar last time and this looks a lesser race. We are the in-form horse, so hopefully we get some luck again.
Can Can Girl is my final ride in the 1m4f handicap (5.09pm). I have been on board for three of her four wins. She was very consistent last year, has improved plenty and hasn’t been overly raced this season. She can go well fresh, so a little break is a plus, and given she’s a pound above her last winning mark, is handicapped to be competitive.
