Laurens landed the William Hill May Hill Stakes odds last year and used the Group 2 race as a springboard to even bigger successes.

She has since registered a trio of Group 1 victories, landing the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket in October and then the Prix Saint-Alary and Prix de Diane in France earlier this term.

If there is a filly that promises similar levels of progression from within this year’s May Hill Stakes entries, then Dubai Beauty must be considered the one to beat.

William Hill’s May Hill Stakes betting is seemingly in agreement, with the Godolphin two-year-old at the head of the market at 3/1.

Favourites don’t have a bad record in the race either, with the market leader triumphing in six of the last 16 years.

Read on to see why else we have made Dubai Beauty our May Hill Stakes betting tip, but first here are the odds for all of the runners and riders.

Dubai Beauty in the May Hill Stakes betting odds

Let’s get the big cloud hanging over Dubai Beauty out of the way first, as the May Hill Stakes is typically won by a more experienced two-year-old.

This is backed up by the fact that 14 of the last 16 winners of this Group 2 contest had seen the racecourse at least twice previously.

Dubai Beauty has only run the once to date, but this was a largely comfortable 7f success at Newmarket, where she was little more than ridden out and the first two pulled eight lengths clear of the field.

Most notable was how relaxed she was down at the start, certainly more so than can be reasonably expected from a horse making a debut. Trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has even commented that he expects her to be more relaxed at Doncaster.

Being a filly out of Frankel, the step up to 1m is expected to be more of a benefit than a hindrance to Dubai Beauty and this isn’t something that is necessarily the case for others in the field.

Only Divinity and Sweet Pearl from the May Hill Stakes odds have the proven stamina of winning over 1m previously.

Alternative May Hill Stakes betting tips

Whereas Dubai Beauty has only been seen at maiden level so far, Accordance already has Group-level experience to her name, when second in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes last time.

That looks the strongest form on the table and connections are expecting an improvement over a mile, despite arguably failing to see out each of her last two races strongly.

Magnetic Charm warrants respect too in the colours of the Queen, particularly given the strike rate close to 40% of trainer William Haggas with his two-year-olds at Doncaster.

Meanwhile, any runner representing the combination of Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore is a foolish one to discount.

Yet, the knowledge that the famed Ballydoyle handler is still waiting to saddle a first winner of this race has to be regarded as a negative to Peach Tree’s prospects as a May Hill Stakes betting tip.
