Nick Luck’s William Hill blog: Harrovian and Viola should prove a Perfect Symphony

Saturday, Lingfield

BETHERSEDEN BOY can land the opener to an All-Weather TV bonanza on Saturday afternoon (1.15pm). Headgear has definitely had the desired effect the last three starts, with blinkers bringing about a little further progress. They are retained, William Buick is booked, the stable is going well, and this looks a very good opportunity at 4/1.

PERFECT SYMPHONY might be the way forward in the next (1.50pm) at 5/1. He hasn’t won for a while, but was arguably a little unlucky not to get his head in front last time. He knows his way round here very well, and the five pound claimer booked is quite promising. This is basement stuff, and he’s in form and capable of winning.

CABLE MOUNTAIN is a bit of a flyer in the twelve furlong race (2.25pm). He’s pretty limited, but has certainly shown a glimmer of ability since the visor was applied, and ran with some genuine encouragement on his last two turf starts, shaping as though he ought to outstay his pedigree. As such, the step up to this trip might suit and I like the jockey booking. Could be a nice surprise at 28/1.

VIOLA looks overpriced at 8/1 to boss the opposition in the feature (3.00pm). Although most of her form is over further, she’s not slow, and has a massive class edge over these. What looks a gargantuan task on paper conceding the weight for age may not in fact prove beyond her.

HARROVIAN isn’t the easiest to predict, but can put his best foot forward in the last (3.33pm) at 3/1. He’s been quite effective every time he’s shown up at Lingfield, and might just sit a bit handier to the pace than when making quite a promising reappearance last month.

Saturday, Chelmsford

HEER’S SADIE gets the each way vote in the first at Chelmsford (2.05pm). She’s been running just respectably, but this isn’t an awful lot tougher, and I wonder whether a mile at a slightly more galloping track might suit her better than Lingfield. Apprentice Sam Fielden has plenty of experience on this filly and seems to be getting the hang of her. 16/1 might be worth it.

GOT NO DOLLARS is a viable alternative to the short priced favourite (2.40pm) at 11/2. He likes this track, gels well with this apprentice, and has just been edged down the handicap to a mark only a couple of pounds more than his last win. The yard remains in good form.

DELAGATE THE LADY could be a surprise package in the 0-52 (3.15pm) at 9/1. We’re clutching at straws here, but pushing the pace at this track was very much her forte when in form a couple of seasons back, and there has to be a chance the switch of stables has gingered her up a bit.
