Fans have been enjoying racing at Carlisle since 1904, and these days you can enjoy flat and jumps action at the course. The Carlisle Bell is the oldest race still in the racing calendar, having been first held in 1599.
The pear-shaped course is right-handed and just over a mile and a half long. With an uphill finish, it is a good test of stamina, particularly on heavier ground.
