NAP of the Day: 7/1 Kon Tiki The ‘Best Bet’ On Day 4 At Royal Ascot

Unlike it’s balsa wood movie counterpart, this NAP is perfectly ship-shape and I expect to see a raft of money coming in for KON TIKI in our horse racing odds, just before the scheduled race time of 4.20pm. Read below for a detailed look into my selection:

NAP of the Day – Friday 20th June 2025:

• 4:20 Royal Ascot – Kon Tiki (7/1)

Supplemented for £46,000 into the Coronation field, Jane Chapple-Hyam and connections must be feeling fairly confident that they can recoup that outlay in this Royal Ascot feature.

The Night Of Thunder-filly is unbeaten in three starts, supplementing two all-weather novice successes with a turf victory in the Listed Michael Seely Memorial Fillies’ Stakes at York’s Dante meeting.

After bypassing a run in the Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly at the start of the month, Kon Tiki makes her eagerly awaiting return to the track, and much is expected of her.

Even though the second horse to her at York hasn’t franked the form as yet, the third horse has, with Ed Walker’s Troia going over to ParisLongchamp to land the Prix Volterra (Listed Race) quite comfortably.

Kon Tiki sports the easily identifiable colours of former trainer Peter Harris, and the one-time 1,000 Guineas has been brought to the boil, slowly but surely.

Harris, now aged 91 years old, likes his horses to steadily move up the ladder, and you would like to think that this nicely bred filly is just one rung away from reaching the pinnacle.
