Royal Ascot: Market Movers – Friday 13th June 2025

An update on the latest market movers ahead of next week’s Royal Ascot meeting, with quotes from William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps.
“Royal Ascot is just around the corner and there’s already been a flurry of betting activity for the meeting. The five-day extravaganza is all about pomp, ceremony and of course, fantastic Flat racing, and there’s a real buzz about some Royal-owned horses this year.
“One in particular is HM The King and HM The Queen’s Reaching High, who’s been backed into 5/1 from 12/1 for Tuesday’s Ascot Stakes (5.00pm). Willie Mullins is a master trainer and with superstar jockey Ryan Moore booked, you can see exactly why punters want to be with this horse.
“We also think HM The King and HM The Queen have a host of strong chances throughout the week, and we make it just 5/4 that their Royal colours are carried to victory at the prestigious Berkshire venue during the course of the meeting.
“Beyond the Royal runners, we’re also seeing some strong support for other Tuesday runners. Aidan O’Brien’s Gstaad has been a popular pick in the last 24 hours, now 8/1 from 12s for the Coventry, and could be Ballydoyle’s main hope the way he’s been bet.
“Later on the same card, Roger Varian’s Enfjaar has attracted notable money in the Wolferton, now 4/1 from 6/1 after he caught the eye behind Almaqam at Sandown last month.”
