It’s Day 2 at Royal Ascot 2025 and all eyes will be on the Royal Procession once again as blue heads the betting in both markets for the King’s tie and Queen’s hat.

Speaking after the close of play on the opening day of Royal Ascot 2025, spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Backers of the King’s tie and the Queen’s hat to be blue on Day 1 of Royal Ascot were disappointed, as King Charles stepped out in a pink tie with a double result paid on the colour of the Queen’s hat – both grey and green were settled as winning bets.

“None of those colours were blue, however, which was made favourite in both markets. That said, traders once again can’t see past the blue being the colour tomorrow, with the King’s tie priced at 7/4 and the Queen’s hat 9/4 to mirror Ascot’s skies.”
