Butcher Hollow (2.50pm)

Butcher Hollow ran a really nice race on his first and second runs over hurdles, and he was obviously a nice bumper winner.

I was massively impressed with his second behind Jade De Grugy at Leopardstown on his second start over hurdles. He was with her all the way to the last and he gave her a real run for her money.

His last run at Naas wasn’t a complete disgrace of a run for him, but I did think he might do a bit better than what he did on the day. I maybe made a bit too much use of him, however there was a little issue that they found afterwards but hopefully they will have that ironed out.

This is his first time over this trip under rules but he is a three mile chaser in the making having won a point-to-point over that trip.

It was only his pure class that got him through his bumper win. The step up in trip here will be a big help to him and it will allow me to ride him like a good horse.

The tongue tie will just help him breathe that bit better as I just felt like he made a bit of a noise last time as well, but at the same time he would be suited to a bit better ground.

Brides Hill (4.50pm)

She is coming into this race on the back of three wins in a row. She was very impressive winning a Listed race at Huntingdon last time and she is a high class mare.

When she won at Fairyhouse the time before last it was on soft ground, but this ground will be holding and you would just worry about that with more rain to come.

She is only a slight mare and she is not very big but she has been going great guns at home.

Gavin (Cromwell) also runs Limerick Lace in the race and she has got a big chance as the ground has come right for her, but Brides Hill is fully capable of running into a place here.

Hopefully she can carry that rich vein of form she has been in over fences this season into this race and give her connections another memorable day out.
