William Hill Pay Out On Sean Bowen To Be Champion Jockey

With Sean Bowen surpassing the 200 winners mark for the jumps season, William Hill have PAID OUT on the Welshman being crowned as the 2025/26 champion jockey.

Bowen has been a revelation this campaign, riding winners for fun since the outset and William Hill have opted to pay out on Olly Murphy’s stable jockey to win the British jumps championship for the second year in a row.

Yet to ride a winner at the Cheltenham Festival, Bowen will be hoping to claim his first success at Prestbury Park’s premier meeting next month and he will have a strong book of rides throughout the week.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “While Sean Bowen celebrates his landmark 200th win of the season, William Hill customers who have backed Bowen for the title can cash in as we’re paying out early.

“There’s no doubt that this had become a case of when, rather than if, such is the dominance that Bowen has proven over his weighing room colleagues this season. With more than double the number of winners of his closest rival Harry Skelton, this has been one way traffic from the get-go.

“The reigning champ Bowen opened at 1/4 with us to retain the title this season and punters have never had a moment’s worry when it’s come to collecting.”
