Belgian Grand Prix Prediction: Lewis Hamilton Value At 7/2 For Sixth Success At Spa?
Who will win the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix? William Hill News take a look at this weekend’s big race, with Lewis Hamilton a contender to go well once again.
Ferrari enter this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix after wins in two of the last three races. Title favourite Kimi Antonelli has the shortest race winner odds in the F1 betting markets, despite only one points-scoring placing in the last three outings.
It promises to be an eventful weekend in the Ardennes Forest, with thunderstorms and showers forecasted throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Belgian Grand Prix Race Winner Odds:
- Kimi Antonelli – 13/8
- George Russell – 3/1
- Lewis Hamilton – 10/3
- Charles Leclerc – 5/1
- Max Verstappen – 11/1
- Lando Norris – 20/1
- Oscar Piastri – 33/1
Ferrari’s Promise
Spa challenges cars in a similar way to Silverstone. Charles Leclerc won the British Grand Prix and both Ferraris impressed with their aero package, improved tyre degradation, and a step in the right direction with their battery deployment.
Leclerc has a previous win in Belgium. Lewis Hamilton is just 32 points off the championship lead. There’s no reason to doubt the Scuderia heading to Spa – the cars checked all the boxes at Silverstone to suggest they can be serious contenders once again.
Hybrid Challenge
There are five Straight Mode activation zones around Spa. That’s the most of any circuit so far this season.
It would be very easy to use all the battery deployment in the first sector, leaving the car abysmally low on power in the high-speed stretch of the final sector. Deploying the right amount of battery at the right times of each lap could make all the difference this weekend.
It’s not how most purists want racing to be, but this is a sign of the times in Formula One. The hybrid systems are facing their sternest test of the year.
Just as Ferrari’s Silverstone success suggests another strong weekend, Red Bull’s woes on high-speed, low-energy circuits mean they are going to be a way off the pace here. Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar simply don’t have the top speed to compete.
Best Bets
- Lewis Hamilton Race Winner, Charles Leclerc Top 3 Finish & Oscar Piastri Top 10 Finish (8/1)
- Lewis Hamilton or Charles Leclerc to Win (15/8)
- Liam Lawson, Isack Hadjar, and Arvid Lindblad Top 10 Finish (13/8)
- Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to Finish Top 3
- Isack Hadjar & Arvid Lindblad Both Top 6 Finish (18/1)
- Any British Driver To Win & Liam Lawson Top 10 Finish (9/4)
Ferrari might just have the quickest all-around package at Spa. Upgrades have taken the Scuderia from being a way off the Mercedes to arguably being the most formidable team on the grid, and this is where their superstar driver pairing can really pile the pressure on Antonelli and Russell.
Lando Norris has three top four finishes in his last four race finishes. Since a nightmare start to the season, Oscar Piastri has finished in the top five in five out of seven races. McLaren clearly has the pace to push to stay close to the top two teams.
Liam Lawson has five consecutive points finishes. It’s four in a row for Arvid Lindblad. Hadjar, even with the Red Bull a long way off the race pace of the Ferraris and Mercedes, has also gone five races in a row with a points finish.
We like backing the Racing Bulls for another double points finish with how they’ve outperformed Alpine over the last couple of races.
