Brazilian Grand Prix Prediction & Betting Tips (2025)

| BY Sam Cox

Who will prevail at the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix? We look through the latest odds ahead of what should be a defining weekend in the race to secure the Drivers’ Championship.

Lando Norris’ win in Mexico took the Brit to the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings with four races to go. Norris opens as the F1 betting favourite for this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix.

A venue that has so often proved decisive in title battles, Norris has a one-point lead over his teammate Oscar Piastri, and Max Verstappen’s late-season surge has kept him in contention – he’s 36 points behind the championship leader.

Thirty-three points are up for grabs this weekend, thanks to the sprint. A three-time winner in São Paulo, Verstappen’s title hopes are well and truly alive. Piastri, who hasn’t finished on the podium since Monza, has drifted to 12/5 to win the title.

Brazilian Grand Prix Odds:

Punters can bet on the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Lando Norris – 13/8
  • Max Verstappen – 7/4
  • Oscar Piastri – 7/2
  • Charles Leclerc – 14/1
  • George Russell – 16/1
  • Lewis Hamilton – 25/1

Norris’ Form

Mexico was perhaps the best weekend of Norris’ career. He excelled in qualifying and seamlessly drove to victory on the Sunday. No one could get close to him. It was an ominous performance for fans of Piastri and Verstappen, even though the Australian is a single point behind his teammate.

Since winning in the Netherlands, Piastri has finished third in Italy, retired in Azerbaijan, and fourth, fifth, and fifth in Singapore, USA, and Mexico. He has qualified between sixth and ninth in three of the last four races and hasn’t qualified higher than eighth in his two previous races in São Paulo.

The on-paper advantage in the title race is minute, but it feels like a much bigger gap between the two Mercedes drivers. Norris is in the ascendancy – Piastri needs a major turnaround in his form if he’s to put up a legitimate fight for this title.

Verstappen On the Charge

The Dutchman recovered from a fifth-placed qualifying and some in-race chaos to land a podium position in Mexico. His title chances are very much alive going into the Brazilian Grand Prix, though he needs to win at least two of the remaining three races.

Verstappen has six consecutive podiums and three wins in that period. He’s been the best driver on the grid in the second half of the season and will be ruing the midseason slump that saw him notch a lone podium in a seven-race span.

Alain Prost is the only driver with more World Championship wins in Brazil. This is where Verstappen’s experience of title fights could benefit him.

Pole Position Odds:

  • Lando Norris – 7/4
  • Max Verstappen – 7/4
  • Oscar Piastri – 9/2
  • Charles Leclerc – 12/1
  • George Russell – 12/1
  • Lewis Hamilton – 16/1

F1 Drivers’ Championship Standings:

  • Lando Norris – 357
  • Oscar Piastri – 356
  • Max Verstappen – 321

Previous São Paulo Winners:

  • 2024 – Max Verstappen
  • 2023 – Max Verstappen
  • 2022 – George Russell
  • 2021 – Lewis Hamilton
  • 2019 – Max Verstappen
  • 2018 – Lewis Hamilton
  • 2017 – Sebastian Vettel
  • 2016 – Lewis Hamilton
  • 2015 – Nico Rosberg

Most Successful Drivers at Brazilian Grand Prix:

  • Alain Prost – 6 wins
  • Michael Schumacher – 4 wins
  • Carlos Reutemann – 3 wins
  • Max Verstappen – 3 wins
  • Lewis Hamilton – 3 wins
  • Sebastian Vettel – 3 wins

Brazilian Grand Prix Tips

  • Best Bet: Verstappen Race Winner, Norris Podium Finish, & Russell Top Six (4/1)

Mexico was George Russell’s first finish outside the top six since Silverstone. The bookies have perhaps overreacted to a pair of disappointing results for Russell – he’s fourth in the championship for a reason and is a previous winner in Brazil.

The Brit has qualified second and sixth in Brazil as a Mercedes driver. Monaco is the only time he’s qualified outside the top six this season.

This is an opportunity for Verstappen to really pile the pressure on Norris and Piastri. Neither driver has won in Brazil. Norris finished second a couple of years ago, but the form of Verstappen is impossible to overlook.
