British Grand Prix Betting Preview And Race Predictions (2025)
The 2025 British Grand Prix takes place this weekend. Action at Silverstone stars with FP1 and FP2 on Friday before qualifying on Saturday, and the race itself on Sunday.
Oscar Piastri enters the weekend as the favourite to win the race in F1 betting, ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris.
McLaren have been the sports betting favourites for each race so far this season. The Woking-based team have only failed to win three of the first 11 races and hold a 207-point advantage in the Constructors’ Championship.
British Grand Prix Odds:
- Oscar Piastri – 6/4
- Lando Norris – 7/4
- Max Verstappen – 9/2
- George Russell – 12/1
- Charles Leclerc – 16/1
- Lewis Hamilton – 16/1
- Kimi Antonelli – 66/1
Ferrari’s Progress
Ferrari are expected to have a further rear suspension upgrade for Spa. The tweaks made to the car helped last week, though, so the Scuderia are worth looking at for bettors in Northamptonshire.
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finished third and fourth, respectively, in Austria, benefitting from Max Verstappen’s early exit. Hamilton seemed more comfortable with the car, while Leclerc’s pace has been consistent all year.
Hamilton delivered his best drive in years at Silverstone 12 months ago, ending his race win drought in the process. A nine-time victor at his home Grand Prix, look for the Brit to produce another standout performance. An each-way wager on Hamilton in the race winner market would cover a podium finish.
Circuit Favours McLaren
McLaren have been miles ahead of the chasing pack throughout the first 11 races of this season. Silverstone, in theory, should suit their strengths with the high-speed corners and straights.
Norris can count himself a little unlucky to be second favourite for this race given that Piastri has only won one of the last five Grands Prix.
The biggest variable to McLaren’s chances is the weather. Showers are expected in qualifying and during the race, which could open the door for a Ferrari, Mercedes, or Red Bull to upset the papaya party.
Best Bet: Lewis Hamilton Podium Finish, Kimi Antonelli Top Six, Nico Hulkenberg Points Finish at 33/1
It’s been a rough few weeks for Kimi Antonelli, despite recording his first F1 podium. The Italian has only one points finish (and three retirements) over his last five races. He has six top six finishes so far this season, however, and won at Silverstone in F2 last year.
Hamilton is still searching for his first full-race podium as a Ferrari driver, but there couldn’t be a better time to break that duck.
The Scuderia has improved over the last few races, plus Leclerc already has four podiums to his name. Hamilton loves racing at Silverstone – a podium is well within reach, particularly if the changeable weather causes some chaos.
Nico Hulkenberg has claimed to 10th in the Drivers’ Championship after three straight points finishes. He’s recorded points in seven of his last eight races at Silverstone. If conditions are challenging, his experience (238 race starts) should stand him in good stead in a crowded midfield.

- Kimi Antonelli – 66/1
