Dutch Grand Prix Predictions 2026: Verstappen Value For Home Podium At 2/1?

| BY Sam Cox

Following the summer break, this disjointed Formula One season heads to Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend.

Kimi Antonelli is once again the F1 betting favourite ahead of Sunday’s race, and William Hill News preview the upcoming event.

Dutch Grand Prix Winner Odds:

  • Kimi Antonelli: 2/1
  • Lando Norris: 7/2
  • Lewis Hamilton: 4/1
  • Charles Leclerc: 6/1
  • George Russell: 15/2
  • Max Verstappen: 8/1
  • Oscar Piastri: 12/1

Verstappen’s Chances

Max Verstappen, ahead of his home Grand Prix, extended his Red Bull contract until 2030. Verstappen has a knack for succeeding at Zandvoort, but the Red Bull has seldom had the pace to compete for race wins in 2026.

The Dutchman has won three of the five races since Formula One returned to the Netherlands. Even in a down year, Verstappen will be fiercely supported by a sea of orange.

It’s been the papaya team celebrating in the last two years, though, with McLaren seeing Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris stand atop the podium in 2025 and 2024, respectively.

Eyes on McLaren

Red Bull can take some confidence from consecutive Verstappen podiums, but McLaren are the team that look most upwardly mobile this weekend. Lando Norris’ win in Budapest saw McLaren become the third team to win a race this year and notably made it only two wins in five races for Mercedes.

Rear wing and brake duct upgrades should see McLaren take another step forward this weekend. Ferrari, meanwhile, are looking to get back on track after underperforming in Hungary.

The fact four drivers have shorter odds than George Russell shows how congested it’s got at the top. The prospect of rain on all three days of this sprint weekend could mix things up even further.

Dutch Grand Prix Best Bets

  • Any British Driver To Win & Oscar Piastri Top 6 Finish (5/2)
  • Arvid Lindblad To Finish Top 10 & Lewis Hamilton To Finish Top 6
  • Max Verstappen Top 3 Finish (2/1)

Russell, Norris, or Hamilton to win and Piastri to finish in the top six? Sign us up.

Piastri has six top six finishes since failing to start the first two races. The McLarens were impressive in Hungary, and they’ve enjoyed success at Zandvoort in the last two years. All of that counts in Piastri’s favour for the top six, then it’s about taking three of the five favourites to win the race.

Arvid Lindblad has quietly been one of the most consistent drivers on the grid. It’s six consecutive points finishes for the young Brit, with the Racing Bulls standing out as the best of the rest since failing to score points in Miami. Hamilton, meanwhile, has finished in the top six in every race so far.

Verstappen hasn’t finished outside the top two at Zandvoort. He’s been on the podium in three of the last four races. The Mercedes, Ferraris, and McLarens might all be quicker, but these odds still seem very generous given the Dutchman’s stellar record in his home Grand Prix.

Dutch Grand Prix Winners:

  • 2025 – Oscar Piastri
  • 2024 – Lando Norris
  • 2023 – Max Verstappen
  • 2022 – Max Verstappen
  • 2021 – Max Verstappen
