| BY News Team

Despite being just two races into the 2025-2026 Formula One season, the drama has already started.

The battle for the 2025 Drivers’ Championship looks very competitive and we run through the key contenders in the betting here.

Check out the latest odds on the Formula One Drivers’ Championship 2025

Lando Norris – 5/6

Lando Norris heads the betting as he goes in pursuit of his first Drivers’ Championship. He just fell short last season following his consistent challenge of Max Verstappen, but his form suggested that if he could sustain that level over the course of a season, that he would give the Dutchman and Red Bull a lot to think about.

The season couldn’t have started much better for the Brit, after he won the opening race in Melbourne before finishing second in the most recent Grand Prix to his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri.

The McLaren looks seriously quick this term, they look the front runner so far this season which is reflected in their price of 1/12 to win the Constructors’ Championship after just two races.

Norris and Piastri look to have it between them if they can keep this form up, Norris may have the edge considering he is seen to be the main driver for McLaren.

Oscar Piastri – 2/1

Whilst he may play second fiddle to Norris, there is no reason to believe that Oscar Piastri cannot win this year’s Drivers’ Championship.

He’s had a seat on the grid for three seasons now and has notched as many wins, which is no mean feat from the 23-year-old.

Winning twice last season, it’s clear that he has the pace to compete, he’s already topped the podium three times showing that he has the experience and know-how it takes to win races, and the McLaren this year may just deliver that opportunity.

Last season, it was clear that McLaren were prioritising Norris as he chased Verstappen down in the title race but after two races, Norris and Piastri both have wins to their names and if Piastri can keep this level of form, they may have no choice but to let the two of them race it out.

Max Verstappen – 11/2

It’s impossible to rule Max Verstappen out of the equation when talking about potential drivers’ championship winners.

The Dutchman has been dominant in recent years, scooping the last four world titles and looks in the form of his life. There’s no doubt that the Red Bull car in those years was so dominant over any other manufacturer, but Verstappen was unstoppable, and he is still considered the most dangerous driver on the grid.

The pack seem to have closed the gap to Red Bull in terms of the level of the car but Verstappen’s ability alone has him in the running and he looks a generous price at 11/2 to make it five titles on the bounce.
