Hungarian Grand Prix Betting Preview And Race Predictions (2025)

Hungary is the venue of the final Grand Prix before Formula One’s summer break.
Oscar Piastri once again tops the motor racing odds at William Hill at 6/4 to win the race. Lando Norris is just behind Piastri at 7/4 before a sizeable gap to Max Verstappen (5/1) and Charles Leclerc (8/1).
Verstappen is enduring his longest podium-less streak since 2019. Leclerc impressed at a largely underwhelming Belgian Grand Prix, which makes him a name to watch once live betting markets open up this weekend.
Lewis Hamilton is still searching for his first podium as a Ferrari driver, but he notably recovered from a difficult Saturday to deliver an overtaking masterclass at Spa. The Brit has as many wins at the Hungaroring as Norris, Piastri, and Leclerc have in their careers.
Hungarian Grand Prix Winner Odds:
- Oscar Piastri – 6/4
- Lando Norris – 7/4
- Max Verstappen – 5/1
- Charles Leclerc – 8/1
- Lewis Hamilton – 16/1
- George Russell – 16/1
Slow Corners and Curbs
The Ferrari has looked more comfortable on slow-to-medium corners than it has on the faster circuits. It’s also been relatively quick when having to ride curbs, which there are plenty of at the winding Hungaroring.
The Red Bull has had a difficult time at the tighter, slower tracks this year. Verstappen might struggle to break his podium drought, and Yuki Tsunoda could be in for another poor weekend.
Hamilton has delivered some of his best drives in Hungary – could he finally stand on the podium as a Ferrari driver? It’s very much in play, while Leclerc will be looking to finish the first half of the season on a high after notching four podium finishes in the last six races.
Mercedes’ Slump
Russell’s race odds are the longest they have been all year. He has finished fifth, 10th, and fifth since winning in Canada. Kimi Antonelli has had a torrid time in Europe – the Italian hasn’t picked up a single point at a European Grand Prix this year after a string of retirements and a 16th-placed finish in Belgium.
The Silver Arrows look a long way from contention as we head to Hungary. It’s been a mixed bag of results for Russell at this race. We don’t think he’s a good option to pick up a podium this Sunday.
Best Bet: Lando Norris Race Winner, Charles Leclerc Podium Finish & Alex Albon Points Finish at 11/1
The McLaren is miles ahead of the chasing pack. It feels like a toss-up race-to-race on whether Piastri or Norris will win. Under pressure to close the gap before the summer break, perhaps Norris makes it three wins from four races here.
Leclerc has been the form driver over the last couple of months. He’s only missed the podium twice in six races and his Scuderia should be comfortable at the Hungaroring.
Then there’s Alex Albon. Albon has finished outside the points once in races he’s finished. The three retirements loom large, but the Williams driver has bounced back with an eighth-placed finish at Silverstone and a sixth at Spa.
