Lando Norris backed for F1 Drivers’ Championship glory after Hungary win

Lando Norris has been backed to win the 2025 Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship following his victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, according to the latest odds from William Hill.
The McLaren driver saw his price cut from 11/8 into 6/5 after his impressive drive on Sunday, closing the gap at the top of the standings as we approach the business end of the season.

Despite finishing second in Hungary, Norris’ teammate Oscar Piastri still leads the title race and remains favourite – although his odds have drifted slightly from 8/15 to 8/13.
Max Verstappen is now way out at 50/1 and looks to be out of the running, with the 2025 Championship shaping up as a straight fight between the two McLaren stars.

Fans can bet on the outcome of the 2025 F1 season with William Hill. Here’s how the market currently looks:
- Oscar Piastri – 8/13
- Lando Norris – 6/5
- Max Verstappen – 50/1
- BAR – 200/1
With just nine points separating the McLaren duo, all eyes now turn to Zandvoort later this month, where Norris will look to continue his charge.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “After a thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix we had no choice but to cut Lando Norris’ Drivers’ Championship odds, as he beat teammate and Championship leader Oscar Piastri to top spot on the podium.
“The Australian driver remains our market leader at 8/13, but that price has softened from 8/15 before the weekend. Norris’ price is going the other way, as we slashed him from 11/8 to 6/5 with just nine points separating the pair at the top of the standings.
“Should Norris continue his winning ways at Zandvoort at the end of the month, that price will only shorten – as will his odds to be named Sports Personality of the Year, which currently stand at 10/1.”
