F1 Monaco Predictions: Can Leclerc Deliver on Home Tarmac?

| BY News Team

Formula 1 heads to the jewel in its crown this weekend as the Monaco Grand Prix takes centre stage in Monte Carlo. William Hill News are here to pick apart the betting markets ahead of Sunday’s showpiece.

After a remarkable run of form from championship leader Kimi Antonelli, the sports most iconic circuit throws its customary spanner in the works. Monaco’s narrow streets require precision and strategy, while not necessarily rewarding the fastest car.

Monaco Grand Prix Best Bets:

Charles Leclerc Race Winner – 13/8

Lewis Hamilton Top 3 Finish – 4/6

Kimi Antonelli Top 3 Finish – 4/5

Franco Colapinto Top 6 Finish – 11/2

Monaco Grand Prix Winner Odds

  • Charles Leclerc – 13/8
  • Lewis Hamilton – 10/3
  • Kimi Antonelli – 5/1
  • George Russell – 11/2
  • Lando Norris – 13/2
  • Max Verstappen – 10/1
  • Oscar Piastri – 11/1
  • BAR – 80/1

Ferrari’s Moment?

Leclerc is the clear favourite at 13/8 and with good reason. The Monegasque driver knows these roads like the back of his hand having raced here since childhood, his experience around the tight turns of Monte Carlo set him apart from the others on the grid. Getting pole position and managing the race from the front will mean everything to Leclerc.

Similar goes for Lewis Hamilton, who’s close in as the 10/3 second favourite in the market, the seven-time world champion lives locally, he’s won here three times across his career and arrives in excellent form having not finished out of the top 6 in 2026.

A Stern Test for Mercedes

Kimi Antonelli has been the standout driver of this year’s world championship, claiming four victories from the first five rounds, but even the brightest of talents can be humbled by Monaco. Mercedes has the fastest car this season, yet the tight, twisting streets of Monte Carlo are a challenge even for the more seasoned drivers. The 19-year-old Italian is a 5/1 shot, but commands respect based on form this season.

George Russell arrives needing to respond after a DNF in Canada derailed his championship push. The Brit has the skill set for Monaco but will need a clean weekend and some good fortune to trouble the Ferraris.

Dark Horses

Franco Colapinto has been something of a revelation in 2026. The Alpine man finished 6th in Canada and has consistently outperformed his machinery. Monaco’s technical demands often suit drivers who are willing to push right to the edge of the walls, and Colapinto has shown that he is brave enough to take those sorts of risks. A top six finish shouldn’t be overlooked, and at 11/2 it is one of the most attractive bets going into the weekend.

Max Verstappen at 10/1 remains a name that punters cannot ignore. He claimed Red Bull’s first podium of the year in Montreal, and he brings experience on street circuits which should play into the competitiveness of the grid. Red Bull’s lack of success in 2026 makes him more of a speculative flutter than a serious win candidate.
