Angela Rayner Betting Specials: What Next For Ex-Deputy Prime Minister?

Former Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has officially resigned and William Hill have priced up a number of specials relating to her future activities.
According to the betting odds, Rayner has been given a 20% chance of featuring on the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing – with punters able to back the former Deputy Prime Minister at 4/1 to appear on the BBC show.
Meanwhile, we go 5/1 for Rayner to appear on I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here in either 2025 or 2026 while the most likely future avenue is a new political podcast, with odds of 5/2 for her to host one before the end of next year.
If she looks to continue with a career in politics, she could be inclined to switch allegiance to the new party formed by Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana – and William Hill are offering 8/1 for her to join forces on that front.
In addition, punters can back Angela Rayner to present an episode of This Morning (10/1) before the end of next year while she is 12/1 to become a permanent presenter of Good Morning Britain in that time.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Angela Rayner’s resignation has sparked rumours around what could be next for the former Deputy Prime Minister and we think that if she doesn’t opt for the microphone and start a podcast, she could be in line for a major TV appearance.
“Starting up a new political podcast is her likeliest option at 5/2, but we make it a 4/1 chance that she features on next year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing. We’ve already seen Reform leader Nigel Farage in the Jungle and Rayner could be next at 5/1 to appear on I’m A Celeb next year, with her other ITV option being to host This Morning, which is a 10/1 chance.
“If she is to remain in politics then a defection to Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana’s new left-wing party is 8/1.”
