Binface receives 80% of bets in Clacton by-election
Four in five punters backing Count Binface (12/1) to trump Farage (1/50) in Clacton
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The betting trends suggest our punters are overwhelmingly in favour of Count Binface in today’s Clacton by-election, with the novelty independent candidate seeing 80% of bets placed on him to defeat main rival Nigel Farage.
“Binface is currently a clear second favourite at 12/1, with Farage (1/50) heavily odds-on to win the seat he resigned from just last month. The Reform leader is the shortest price he has been since the market opened in early July.
“However, if the betting trends prove anything, it’s that Count Binface’s chance of being elected to parliament are far from trashed just yet, and we make him a 5/2 chance to win over 25% of the vote.”
