Local Election Odds: Reform UK Clear Favourites To Dominate Thursday’s Vote

Reform UK are the overwhelming favourites to be the standout performers in Thursday’s local elections, according to the latest betting markets at William Hill News.

Reform, led by Nigel Farage, are priced at just 1/33 to emerge as the night’s ‘winning party’, with the market pointing towards significant gains across the 5,000+ council seats up for grabs.

They sit comfortably ahead of Zack Polanski’s Green Party (16/1), while both of the traditional major parties trail at much bigger prices.

Keir Starmer’s Labour Party are currently 33/1 outsiders to top the standings, with the Conservative Party even further adrift at 40/1.

UK Local Elections Winning Party Odds 2026:

  • Reform UK – 1/33
  • Green Party – 16/1
  • Labour – 33/1
  • Conservatives – 40/1
  • Liberal Democrats – 150/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Reform UK are incredibly short in our betting to win the most council seats on Thursday. Their odds of 1/33 suggest they’re on course for a standout performance across the country, with significant gains expected as votes are counted.

“Zack Polanski’s Green Party are expected to eat into the Labour vote in London but may fall short across other areas of the country, and are second in the market at 16/1 for the most seats.

“By contrast, both Labour and the Conservatives are priced as big outsiders to top the seat count, which underlines just how strongly the market is backing the two populist parties heading into polling day.”
