Premier League Sack Race Odds: Winless Arbeloa 9/4, De Zerbi 4/1
Following the weekend’s Premier League results, Álvaro Arbeloa and Roberto De Zerbi have had their odds cut with William Hill to be the first Premier League manager to leave their post.
Fulham boss Arbeloa now heads the betting to go first at 9/4. The Spaniard was 3/1 prior to the game against Crystal Palace, but the 3-2 defeat left Fulham with three losses from three and no points. The Cottagers were booed off at Craven Cottage after surrendering the lead twice against Palace.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has also been cut to 4/1 from 9/2 after Spurs failed to score in a third game in a row. Tottenham picked up their first point of the season in a goalless draw at Nottingham Forest but failed to register a shot on target, extending their scoreless start to the campaign.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “There’s been a shake up in the sack race betting, with Alvaro Arbeloa and Roberto De Zerbi favoured to leave their posts first following poor results for Fulham and Tottenham.
“Fulham remain pointless following their defeat to Crystal Palace, seeing Arbeloa cut to 9/4 favourite to leave first, whilst De Zerbi has also seen his odds narrow to 4/1, with Spurs only picking up a point in their first three games.”
First Premier League Manager To Leave Odds:
- Álvaro Arbeloa – 9/4
- Roberto De Zerbi – 4/1
- Unai Emery – 11/2
- Gary O’Neil – 7/1
- BAR – 15/2
