Premier League Sack Race: Matchday 16

Premier League Puma Ball 2025-26

Following 16 gameweeks, we have already seen four managers leave their post and the Sack Race market is beginning to take shape.

With several high-profile managers finding themselves under increasing scrutiny as results, performances and expectations collide.

Thomas Frank – 2/1

At the head of the betting is Tottenham boss Thomas Frank at 2/1, whose position reflects the growing tension in North London.

Frank arrived with a reputation for progressive football and squad development following his impressive stint at Brentford, but Spurs’ recent form has raised concerns among supporters.

Inconsistency against mid-table opposition, combined with underwhelming home performances, has left Tottenham drifting away from European qualification.

With a demanding fanbase and a need for results to turn around quickly, Frank’s position at the head of the market is justified and he could be on his way out soon.

Arne Slot and Scott Parker – 7/2

Close behind Frank, joint at 7/2, are Liverpool boss Arne Slot and Scott Parker who’s currently managing Burnley, two managers dealing with very different types of pressure.

Slot’s inclusion so high in the betting may surprise some, but expectations at Anfield are unforgiving. Any dip in title contention or Champions League qualification quickly invites scrutiny, and Liverpool’s recent defensive lapses and dropped points have put Slot under the microscope.

Meanwhile, Parker is battling at the other end of the table with Burnley.

Despite flashes of promise, Burnley have struggled for consistency, particularly away from home, and goals have been hard to come by, and with Scott Parker’s poor record at keeping teams in the division – the Clarets may look for different options.

Daniel Farke – 4/1

Current Leeds boss Daniel Farke is next in the betting at 4/1 is another manager under pressure due to expectation rather than crisis.

Leeds’ attacking intent has pleased supporters, and with four points from a possible six against Chelsea and Liverpool, Farke has bought himself time in the Elland Road dugout.

That said, defensive frailties have caused them to drop points, which has prevented them from pushing into the top half and another drop off in form might see Farke’s position quickly come under threat.

Rob Edwards – 6/1

Further down the market sits Rob Edwards at 6/1, who’s currently at the helm of bottom placed Wolves.

Edwards has earned credit for competitive performances, but Wolves’ lack of cutting edge in tight games has left them practically relegated by this stage of the season, with just two points from sixteen games.

It’s likely they are preparing for a Championship campaign, and with Edwards well established at that level, he may be safe in the job for now.

Ruben Amorim – 9/1

Among the bigger names is Ruben Amorim(9/1) at Manchester United.

United’s problems have been well-documented, but reports suggest the club may be prepared to offer Amorim time amid structural changes.
