Super League 2026 Eliminators Predictions: One Big Name Goes Home
The Super League regular season is over and we’re into the Eliminators, with William Hill News on hand to preview the action.
The teams who finished third, fourth, fifth and sixth will compete in the first round of the Play-Offs, known as the Eliminators, for the chance to face one of the top two sides in the Semi-Finals.
League Leaders’ Shield winners Wigan Warriors have already booked their place in the Semis, as have Leeds Rhinos. Now, Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Trinity, Leigh Leopards and Hull KR have their chance to join them.
With Warrington taking on Hull KR and Wakefield facing Leigh, this year’s Eliminators are sure to be entertaining games.
Wakefield Trinity v Leigh Leopards – Friday 18th September, 20:00
The first of two Eliminators sees fourth-place Wakefield take on Leigh, who ended the Super League season in fifth place.
The home side have had their visitors’ number on both occasions so far this season, winning 18-14 at home back in March. The more notable result was last week’s, where these two met at Leigh and Wakefield ran out 8-19 winners.
That sees Daryl Powell’s side head into this one as the clear favourites at 11/20, with Leigh priced at 29/20. Powell has taken Wakefield from strength to strength and this season provided their highest ever top-flight finish.
Now the task lies in going even further and making it through the Eliminators. Powell showed his ability to take an underperforming team to new heights in his time at Castleford, but he just fell short in the final there.
That fire will still be burning, and he’ll have his side fully tuned to keep their record against Leigh this season squeaky clean. Take Wakefield to get the job done in front of their home fans.

Warrington Wolves v Hull KR – Saturday 19th September, 17:30
Saturday evening brings us a mouth-watering clash between Warrington Wolves and defending champions Hull Kingston Rovers.
The Robins haven’t made an emphatic defence of their title so far, sneaking into the top six by two points, eight points shy of Saturday’s opponents. Warrington, on the other hand, have proven themselves to be a top three team in Super League, displaying incredible consistency throughout the campaign.
That said, Hull KR know how to get the job done at this stage of the season. They also have a strong big game record against Wire, with a Challenge Cup Final, two semi-final wins, and two Play-Off wins against them since 2015.
This looks an incredibly tough one to call, as does the decision of whether or not Mikey Lewis will see the field, having been sin binned in both games against Warrington recently. If he does play, Rovers’ chances will likely tilt on his performance.
Warrington look the safe play at home here, with reliability and results in this season’s head-to-head encounters in their favour. They fielded a changed side against Toulouse last week, so should be fresh and ready to go here.
