Super League Grand Final betting: Wakefield victory would trigger five-figure losses
William Hill have revealed that Wakefield Trinity winning the 2026 Super League Grand Final would see them record a five-figure loss on the market.
Wakefield were as big as 40/1 to be crowned Super League champions earlier in the season – which a number of William Hill customers took advantage of – but their scintillating form over the past few months and shock victories over Hull Fc and Wigan have seen them through to Old Trafford.
With a number of notable bets placed at big prices, Wakefield and the worst result in William Hill’s Super League outright book and they could hit the bookmaker hard on Saturday afternoon.
Warrington, on the other hand, were less fancied by punters and would in fact be a positive result. The two sides currently can’t be split in the betting at 10/11 apiece, with the draw priced at 16/1.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Ahead of last weekend’s Super League semi-finals, we were on high alert for an upset with Wakefield Trinity being one of the biggest losers in our Super League outright book, and that’s exactly what we got.
“They cruised past Wigan to make it to Old Trafford, and now they have our trading floor seriously worried as a victory for them would see us staring down the barrel of a five-figure loss.
“Daryl Powell’s side were 16/1 before last weekend and 40/1 to win the Grand Final earlier in the season, but now head into Saturday’s game at Evens to lift the trophy.
“Our traders are hoping for a Warrington Wolves victory, with Wire being a much more favourable result in our Super League outright book.”
