As the jumps season gets into full swing, 20-times Champion Jockey Sir Anthony McCoy has revealed his top five horses to follow for the 2019/20 National Hunt season.

Delta Work (Gordon Elliott)

A very good novice chaser. I know he got beat in the RSA at Cheltenham but he put things right at Punchestown and he looks like the one for the Gold Cup.

He looks like a Gold Cup horse in the making.

Champ (Nicky Henderson)

One horse I’d really like to ride this season is Champ.

He was a really good novice hurdler last year. Like Delta Work, he also got beat at the Cheltenham Festival but managed to win at Aintree.

I think he looks like a novice chaser in the making and one worth following.

Altior (Nicky Henderson)

Altior would be every jockey’s dream to ride.

Unbeaten over jumps, it looks like he’s going to take on the King George at Kempton this season – it will be great for jumps fans to see that.

Envoi Allen (Gordon Elliott)

He won the Champion Bumper and Gordon Elliott has a lot of good horses to choose from.

I know he thinks very highly of Envoi Allen and I’m sure he’ll be the one to beat in novice hurdles.

Gypsy Island (Peter Fahey)

She’s unbeaten in four bumpers last year. She actually got beat in a hurdles race but she’s going back over hurdles now and I think she could be one for the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
