Ding Junhui vs Kyren Wilson Prediction

Kyren Wilson upset the betting odds to win a deciding set against Mark Selby and set up a quarter-final duel with Ding Junhui. The draw has fallen favourably for Ding up until this point thanks to Mark Allen’s withdrawal.

Ding has the upper hand in the head-to-head record, but it’s an exact 50/50 split across 160 frames. Wilson has been a bit inconsistent this season, though he was a finalist in Shanghai and he’s coming off two big wins.

An underwhelming record against the world’s best makes Ding a hard player to back on Friday. We fancy Wilson to get the job done.

Judd Trump vs Shaun Murphy Prediction

Both of these players have looked good so far, but neither have faced a proper challenge. Judd Trump was taken to seven frames by Anthony McGill, and Shaun Murphy went to a decider with Pang Junxu.

Trump has won 33 of the previous 47 meetings, including a 10-9 epic at the Tour Championship and a win in the final of the 2026 German Masters.

Murphy hasn’t had his best start to the season, but we know he can go toe-to-toe with Trump.

Mark Williams vs Liam Davies Prediction

After making hard work of his first two rounds, Mark Williams only needed five frames to see off Barry Hawkins. The Welshman faces his compatriot Liam Davies in the quarters, who remarkably beat Wu Yize in the last 16.

Davies is on his deepest run at a ranking event. While it’s a surprise to see him in the last eight, Davies has been on a superb run, with wins over Hawkins, Ding, and Gary Wilson this season.

Experience obviously gives Williams an advantage here, but rule Davies out at your peril with the level he’s been at over the last few months.
