Masters Snooker Final Predictions & Betting Tips (2026)

John Higgins will take on Kyren Wilson in the 2026 Masters final at the Alexandra Palace on Sunday, with the Paul Hunter Trophy and £350,000 on offer to the winning player.

After two dramatic semi-finals yesterday, the pair will go toe-to-toe in the showpiece fixture and fans will be hoping for another exciting and close contest throughout two sessions on Sunday.

Both players were on the cusp of defeat but showed grit and determination to come out on top, with Higgins coming from behind to defeat world number one Judd Trump in a thriller that will be remembered for many years.

Masters Final Odds:

Punters can bet on Kyren Wilson vs John Higgins in the 2026 Masters final at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Kyren Wilson – 4/6
  • John Higgins – 6/5

Wilson, winner of the World Snooker Championship less than two years ago, is the world number two and he will head into Sunday’s clash as a narrow favourite but he has lost on two previous occasions in a Masters final.

Will that play on his mind? Potentially. It has been great to see Wilson return to form in recent weeks though, having suffered a major decline following off-table issues over the past 18 months.

Higgins is looking for his third Masters title and he will become the oldest Triple Crown finalist in snooker history when he takes to the table on Sunday afternoon. His last Masters success came back in 2006, so it would be some feat if he is able to lift the trophy this weekend.

Kyren Wilson v John Higgins Head To Head

The players have met in 27 tour encounters and Higgins has prevailed on 20 occasions. Excluding matches at Championship level, Higgins still holds a clear advantage over his opponent – winning eight of their 11 contests.

Having said that, Wilson defeated Higgins on the biggest stage of all at the 2024 World Championship so he has shown that he can get the better of the Scotsman when it matters most.

If the semi-finals are anything to go by, snooker fans could be in for a real treat on Sunday. Wilson and Higgins have played some superb snooker this week and fingers crossed the showpiece fixture lives up to the hype after a fantastic tournament.

Wilson v Higgins Prediction:

Expect a close contest, with both players likely to be fired up after Saturday’s drama. I’m going to side with Kyren Wilson despite his head-to-head record, as I think his scoring prowess may prove too much in the end.

John Higgins vs Kyren Wilson score prediction: Higgins 7-10 Wilson.

Snooker fans can watch full coverage of the 2026 Masters final live on BBC Two, and one of Kyren Wilson or John Higgins will be crowned champion on Sunday night.
