Northern Ireland Open Best Bets: 5/1 Fancy Heads Thursday’s Snooker Predictions

| BY Sam Cox

Here are the best snooker betting tips for Thursday 22nd October 2026, with William Hill News previewing the latest odds at the Northern Ireland Open.

Northern Ireland Open Predictions Today:

  • Mark Williams -2.5 (13/10)
  • Jak Jones -1.5 (8/11)
  • Jordan Brown to win 4-3 (5/1)

Mark Williams vs Martin O’Donnell Prediction

Impressing to beat Judd Trump and Luca Brecel in the first two rounds, Martin O’Donnell’s reward is a matchup with Mark Williams. This is O’Donnell’s deepest run at a ranking event since the 2024/25 Northern Ireland Open.

Williams beat Robbie Williams and Zhang Anda to reach this stage. Hot and cold so far this season, Williams has an opportunity in this event with the draw really falling in his favour.

The head-to-head record has been dominated by Williams, including an emphatic win at the 2026 Welsh Open. We fancy the Welshman to claim another win here.

Jak Jones vs Daniel Wells Prediction

After wins at the British Open and in the Championship League, Jak Jones is a serious contender at the Northern Ireland Open. Jones has seen off Tom Ford and John Higgins to set up a clash with Daniel Wells.

Wells beat Barry Hawkins 4-2 and won a deciding frame against Ryan Day. He beat Jones in their only previous meeting, but that was back in 2021.

Hawkins represented only Wells’ second win against a top 30 player this season. Jones is rightly favoured here.

Jordan Brown vs Scott Donaldson Prediction

Jordan Brown can make only his fourth career ranking quarter-final (and a second straight at his home event). Scott Donaldson hasn’t reached a ranking last eight since the 2020/21 edition of the Northern Ireland Open.

This section of the draw has opened up with Wu Yize’s withdrawal, Brown’s win over Mark Allen, and Michael Holt upsetting Zhou Yuelong.

Neither player is carrying the greatest form into this match, and the head-to-head doesn’t give us a great deal to go on. This promises to be a hard-fought encounter, with Brown the marginally more likely winner.
