Ronnie O’Sullivan is one of the most recognisable faces in snooker and The Rocket is well fancied to challenge for a record-breaking eighth World Championship crown in 2025.

Now as short as 4/1 to win snooker’s most prestigious competition, Ronnie O’Sullivan has been well supported for the title following his dominant 10-4 victory over rival Ali Carter in the opening round of the 2025 World Snooker Championship.

According to the latest sports betting markets, Judd Trump remains the tournament favourite at 11/4 but O’Sullivan is now the second favourite to win the competition after an impressive first round display.

O’Sullivan wasn’t one of the leading contenders for the crown in our tournament preview but he surprised many with his performance earlier in the week, especially given his lack of match practice in recent months.
