UK Snooker Championship Final Predictions & Betting Tips (2025)
As predicted in our semi-final preview, Judd Trump and Mark Selby are meeting in the final of the UK Championship.
World number one Trump is favourite at 8/11, with Selby priced at 11/10.
Trump is the defending champion. Both players have been victorious in this event on two previous occasions. It’s the matchup many neutrals will have wanted, with Trump and Selby seeing off Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy comfortably in Saturday’s semi-finals.
Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry, and Ronnie O’Sullivan are the only other players to have defend the UK Championship title. A win on Sunday would put Trump in rarefied air.
Looking back to his best, the favourite has reached finals at the Northern Ireland Open and the Champion of Champions. The latter ended in a defeat to Selby, which is very much fresh in the memory.

After his win over Robertson, Trump said, “I probably just missed a couple less balls than him. It is great to be back in the final – the last few months and weeks have been a lot more consistent.
“It wasn’t an amazing standard but I did what I needed to do. I feel good about my game.”
He added, “I have been in a few finals recently and it is never nice to be on the losing end. I need to use that as motivation and have the determination to come out on the right end.”
Selby was ruthless in his 6-3 win over Murphy. Covering the -1.5 line, the Jester from Leicester made a string of well-built breaks, and an inch-perfect positional shot with the match in the balance to claim the third frame.
Selby said, “I felt good from start to finish. At the interval I felt relaxed and felt like I was close to playing some decent stuff and I needed to because Shaun hits the ball as well as anyone I have ever played.
“If Judd plays like we know he can play, I will have to play somewhere near that to compete as well.
“It has been nine years since I got to the last UK final and even in the Masters I have not done great. It would be nice to try and tick it off and get to 10 [wins in Triple Crown events].”
This is the fourth meeting between these players in 2025. Selby has won the last two, hammering Trump in the Champion of Champions final, and knocking out the world number one in Shanghai. It is advantage Trump overall, however, including three consecutive wins between December 2023 and April 2025.
The last three UK Championship finals have had over 16.5 total frames. With the quality of snooker these two have played, it’s hard to see either player running away with this. This match has the potential to repeat the drama of the 2020 10-9 win Robertson had over Trump.
Expecting this to go deep into the night, we are more than happy to take over 16.5 and would even consider over 17.5.
